African Union Commission trade and industry Commissioner mochanga announced on social media "Twitter" on April 2 that Gambia's parliament has approved the African continent free trade agreement (afcfta), becoming the 22nd country to ratify the agreement. Afcfta has also reached the minimum threshold for entry into force, which is expected to take effect at a new AU summit in Niamey, Niger, in July.
