The China-Malaysia Friendship Bridge spans the Gaadhoo Koa Strait and is located in the corridor between Male Island and Airport Island. It is the most important island link project in the Maldives. The total length of the project line is 2000 meters, and it consists of bridges, reclamation embankments and roads. The main bridge is 760 meters in length and is a continuous rigid frame bridge with a main span of 180 meters.
