On the morning of March 15, 2019, the last groove of the east-west axis road project of Xiangyang Yuliangzhou in charge of the construction of the fifth project company was successfully completed.

The east-west axis Yuliangzhou section project is the core component of Xiangyang's east-west axis road engineering. It crosses the Hanjiang River and crosses Yuliangzhou. The main line of the tunnel is 5.4km long, of which 1011m is an immersed tube tunnel and 4389m is a buried tunnel.

Since the project started on August 24, 2018, it has successively completed 145 water-stop continuous walls, 63 grid-connected ground walls, 1547m guide walls, 54992m of cement mixing piles, and 4344m of high-pressure rotary jet piles. The completion of the project marks another step forward in the implementation of large and complex deep foundation pits.
