On October 11, Φ3.0m pile foundation of Yamen Bridge Bridge Collision Avoidance Project, the second phase of Yamen Seaway Project, which is constructed by "Anhui Jinlin" of China Railway Construction and Navigation Bureau, was successfully drilled, marking the official opening of the main construction of the project.

There are 4 independent anti-collision piers in this project, including 2 main anti-collision piers and 2 secondary anti-collision piers, which are arranged at 20m upstream and downstream of pier 12# and pier 13# of Yamen Bridge respectively. The overall outline of the anti-collision pier is streamlined, with high pile bearing structure, and the foundation is made of composite piles of bored and grouted steel pipes. Each main anti-collision pier is arranged with 14 steel pipe composite piles, and each secondary anti-collision pier is arranged with 12 steel pipe composite piles. The diameter of steel pipe is 3.35~3.372m, and the diameter of pile core concrete is 3.0m.

It is understood that the second phase of the Yamen Seaway project is the largest dredging project in the province's waterway system construction projects, the total dredging volume of 46.261 million cubic meters, the bridge collision avoidance project is one of the major difficulties, the need to build collision avoidance facilities next to the original Yamen Bridge, its quality and safety is a difficult point of construction management. After the completion of the project, the navigation standard of the channel will be further improved, the whole channel can meet the 20,000 tons of general cargo ships, bulk carriers and container ships fully loaded by tide one-way navigation. The project is an important strategic support for Jiangmen's initiative to integrate into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area and achieve a high starting point, high platform and high standard for the construction of a pivotal gateway city in the west wing of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area.
